The Long Run will be hosting a shakeout run the morning before the Covenant Health Knoxville Marathon. Come run on the greenway and maybe do a little shopping before heading to the expo. We will have former marathon winners as well as many people who have run the course for several years if you have any questions about the race or the course.
This FREE yoga session is sponsored by Knoxville Endurance and geared towards runners. Bring your own yoga mat or large towel.
Jessica Horton is a certified Yoga, Flow and Centergy instructor who is excited about the fusion of two of her loves - yoga and running! Since yoga keeps us bendy and zen and running makes us tight and unhinged, it made perfect sense (in her mind) to teach yoga to runners - to speed recovery and prevent injury! Although she was once (read: many years ago) a collegiate athlete, her goalkeeper position did NOT require much running, but one day she got angry and 1 marathon, 17 half marathons and 2 200 mile relays later, she is still running (although not very fast)!
Since she has given up on ever running the Boston Marathon (since that would mean TWO more marathons to do), her goal is to share her yoga knowledge with the local running community!
